This game was lovingly plagiarised by the game created by Drakonthenightlord at 40kforums.

To sign up all you need is

God name: (Example: Bob)
Field of godding: (God of Volley ball, Spearmint and Easter egg hunts)
Domain of existence: (Heaven, Hell, the Sea or the mortal realm)

God rules
You start as a Minor God. Minor Gods rule over nothing, but they can manifest themselves in the mortal plane and grant minor miracles to certain people. Messengers and minions and monsters cannot be created at this stage.
When you finally get an entire settlement to worship you, you are elevated to Greater God. Here, your power to interact with mortals decrease, but you get to create minions to convey your messages. And of course, you can send omens and such. (a minor god can do this, but a Greater God can do this even more effectively. Your ability to manifest yourself is also decreased, allowing you to change in one form only (animal of your choice)

Once an entire country worships you, you are elevated to Major God status. This is where you have the power to contend with the current ruling gods for Omniscience, but your ability to interact with mortals are severely restricted to omens and messengers. You can manifest yourself only once in this stage, though you will lose most of your godlike powers but your powers as a god become much more awesome. You can alter geography, create a whole new race to populate the earth with, and create another domain (Like Heaven or Hell) but you need 3 Major Gods working together to achieve this.

Mortals.

Mortals have free will, so even if you point in one direction, it doesn't mean they'll always go there. The point of this game is to subtly maneuver the mortals to achieve your own ends.

Civilisation
In the beginning, there will be a limited number of Civilised nations (depending on the players' collective desicion) These civilised ones are directly under the protection of a Major God, so they're pretty advanced. But you can still teach them things. But only within your field of godding, you cannot teach them how to make greek fire if you are a fertility god. And of course, the age needs to be right.

Savages
Instead of teaching the already civilsed mortals, you can teach the savages, and guide them to become a world power!

Rules of creation
You can create whatever the hey you want (limited to your field of godding and power and your imagination)

Feel free to create near invincible creatures, BUT you have to pm me its weakness. And no ridiculous weaknesses like, 'meteors' and 'rick rolls'.

Omniscience
Omniscience allows a God to know everything, therefore is privy to secret actions, you can have omni when you are a rulling god.
If another god sacrifices his Omniscience to block yours, you are automatically informed who blocked you. (via pm)

Actions
Minor God 10 AP
Greater God 20 AP
Major God 30 AP.

Going from one domain to another is considered one action point.

Communicating with sentient beings --- 1 AP
Other God powers ------------------------ 2AP

Secret Points (SP) are used for doing secret actions.

Major God - 10 SP
Greater God - 15 SP
Minor God - 20 SP

The coming of the gods...

Many a year ago, Kilroy, lord of existence, created the world. No one knows why...

He created three gods to watch over it initially. Thala, Goddess of light and all that if fundamentally good in this world resides in heaven. Her personal guard the angels spread light and happiness to all corners of the world. Her brother, Marduk, lord of the underworld, seeks to corrupt and enslave all to his whim. The demons make up the foul population of hell, and come in many different forms. The Queen of heaven and the Lord of Hell have warred since their birth, both seeking to get purchase in the real world. The third god, Malawi, God of the sea, acts as a neutral force between the two. Should he ever ally with one of the other sides, it is likely they would win. He is a fickle god, who could bless you with good winds one day, but curse you with a storm the next.

In an attempt to cease this destructive war, the Lord of Existence created the humans. Almost immediately, the three gods took to nurture the newly invented race. Thala found a part of herself in the Ganlandian's love of freedom, and thirst for justice. The mariners of the islands of Drukheim paid great reverence to the sea, which pleased Malawi to no end, an act that gifted them with his favour. The king of Nazk'hul, Born'an, intrigued Marduk: he was wrathful, materialistic and oppressive. Marduk gifted him with eternal life under the circumstances of worship by the people. The four peoples on the mainland continent were mostly ignored by the gods, though small cults belonging to each other god.

However it was not long before the gods set themselves on their former goals: Sgents of Thala and Marduk do war again, while Malawi advances his agenda. Frustrated, Kilroy made yet more gods... That's where you come in...

It totally makes sense. I mean, Hermes didn't have any property, but he was a major god. Same with Hera, I think. And she was queen bitch.

Tom's got the right idea... You need followers before you can hit greater god and summon minions... And Hermes was the messenger god... He was about as major as a Sgt.

A grand military procession goes by as you skulk in the allies. A man dressed in full military regalia leads this group. He seems to be the leader.

In a dark alley, in the seedier district of town, the wind starts to swirl. Refuse and debris are swept away by the gust.
Faintly, a high pitched cry can be heard. The cry rows in volume, until, in a flash of light, a man steps forward. The man has a brown leather jacket on, and has a strange sort of lute slung over his back. The most interesting feature of the man is his flaming orange Mohawk.
Randy exits the alley, looks around, and strides towards a rowdy looking tavern
